Chiropractic Care

Your nervous system controls every organ, cell and tissue in your body, and if your nervous system is unable to function correctly, the result can be pain, dysfunction or illness anywhere in your body—everything is interconnected!

The goal of chiropractic is to reduce nerve irritation along the spine, and our job is to keep the holes between the bones of your spine open where the nerves come out.

When these spaces are open, there is no pressure or interference on the nerves, and your body can function as it should.

Taking a Full-Spine Approach

At Cooper Functional Health, we take a full-spine approach to care. So, even if you come in with neck and shoulder pain, we will check your whole spine. That’s because where you feel the pain is not necessarily where the underlying problem is.

We offer a range of adjusting techniques that are gentle, low force methods that are easy on the body while being very effective. Some of our adjusting techniques include:

  • Gonstead
  • Active Release Technique®
  • ArthroStim®
  • Activator Methods®
  • Thompson
  • Toggle Recoil
  • Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT)

Our focus is on family care, providing customized care for patients of all ages.”

Conditions We Help With

People typically come in when they have some kind of pain, from headaches to low back pain. They’re often surprised to discover that chiropractic care improves other health issues they didn’t realize were related. Some of the common issues that prompt people to seek our care are:

  • Back pain
  • Ear infections
  • Headaches
  • Neck pain
  • Sciatica
  • TMJ

Since everything in your body is controlled by your nervous system, any area in your body could potentially improve.

Many people experience better immune function when they get regular adjustments, and we even have patients who say they can hear and see better following an adjustment!”

Get on the Healing Path Today

Your care journey will typically begin with more frequent visits—2 to 3 visits a week for the first couple of weeks—and then decrease as your body begins to heal. We generally recommend routine checkups and offer lifestyle advice to help prevent the problem from recurring.
